In Episode 1 of Lead the Future, Dr. Vince Molinaro spoke with Alain Dehaze, CEO of The Adecco Group. In their conversation, Alain speaks to how he and his company led during the global COVID-19 pandemic, how he copes and manages the pressures and demands of leading a global Fortune 500 company, and how a leadership contract helped establish clear expectations for all Adecco leaders. Alain shares findings from Adecco’s recent research on the changing nature of work, as it relates to the virtual office, productivity metrics, and critical skills, as well as his perspective on how leaders and organizations will need to adapt for the workplace of the future.

On one hand we will have to reskill and upskill regarding hard skills and especially around digital tools, digitization and so on. On the other hand, we will have to reskill regarding emotional intelligences, for example, empathy, because many managers are used to managing a team on premise but not a remote workforce.

Alain is the CEO of one of the world’s largest HR and temporary staffing companies in the world. The Adecco Group is a global fortune 500 company that is leading the edge of redefining the world of work. Since 2007, Alain has been a member of the Global Commission on the Future of Work of the International Labor Organization (ILO). Alain is an advocate of a new social contract that would help bridge the skills gap and take advantage of automation and robotization.
